Stahldat SX

The StahlDat SX contains the complete Register of European Steels (the „Stahl-Eisen-Liste“), their specification data, and temperature-dependent properties. The data is licensed from the German Steel Institute (Stahlinstitut VDEh) of Duesseldorf, Germany. Also, the institute encompasses the European Steel Registration Office and publishes SEW 310 (Stahl-Eisen-Werkstoffblatt). The Stahl-Eisen-Liste currently includes over 2400 steels, of which more than 470 are corrosion resistant stainless steels. It is actively maintained which may result in an increasing and also decreasing number of grades:

  • 380+ plain carbon steels
  • 140+ low-alloy steels
  • 190+ high quality steels
  • 1400+ alloyed stainless steels
  • 130+ non-ferrous metals

Further data for steels include:

  • Material designations – material number per EN 10027-2, shortname per EN 10027-1, tradenames characteristics, purpose
  • International equivalent standards
  • Delivery conditions
  • Composition specification
  • Mechanical properties including, but not limited to – yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, impact energy, hardness
  • Suppliers
  • Temperature dependent data (for over 450 materials):
    • Density
    • Thermal expansion coefficent
    • Modulus of elasticity
    • Etc.
